valid from the second Photo Contest sessionDAN Europe is organizing an Online contest show of underwater pictures in
digital format.
The contest has a quarterly pace.
The photos will be judged by two juries.
The first one is represented by the people who visit
the DAN Europe WEBSITE, who can express their preferences by an ON-LINE voting web device
that automatically and instantly update the score of each photo.
The second one is made by a pool of underwater
photographers chosen amongst the best qualified in the international arena. Their
preferences will be expressed, in this case after the ON-LINE jury voting period expires.
The preferred shots will then enter the "TOP SHOTS" hall of
fame, a kind of permanent exhibition that will show the best photos awarded by DAN Europe
Photocontest. The winners, will also have the right of the placing their work in a
designated place of the "Alert Diver" magazine, with mention of the author and
details of the picture, the right to participate to the final contest to be chosen amongst
the best shots of the current year. Which will then be placed upon the DAN Europe member
cards (of the following year) and on the cover of "Alert Diver" (IV trimester of the current year) magazine . The author
will also be awarded the DAN EUROPE PHOTOCONTEST trophy.
All visitors to the DAN Website may participate in the contest, with
their original work, even with pictures they have used in other contests (digital or non,
on line or non) so long as they are underwater subjects with a maximum of 3 (three)
pictures per trimester.
The contest theme is free. Graphic elaborations based on real
